Updated: A source tells 5TC that the 2 suspects were arrested numerous times for previous criminal activity in Far Rockaway. Nassau County Police were very determined to catch these suspects, as they were involved in high-end and low-end crimes, including jewelry theft, check fraud, identity and credit card theft. The two suspects live locally in Far Rockaway and were spotted in a vehicle by RNSP. They immediately put in the call to the Nassau County 4th detective squad and followed the suspects. The perpetrators stopped and went into the Jimmy Jazz, giving Nassau Police a few minutes to get into position. As soon the duo went back into their car, they were surrounded and arrested.

Another product of great collaboration between Nassau County Police and RNSP!

5TC had previously reported the incident of the FedEx theft, that had taken place in broad daylight across from Gourmet Glatt. See the initial article reporting the discovery HERE.

Surveillance obtained by 5TC shows one of the incidents caught on camera:

Nassau County police reported the arrest of two Queens men for breaking into a Fed-Ex drop box in North Lawrence on multiple occasions.

According to police, detectives were investigating multiple thefts from a Fed-Ex drop box located at 136 Spruce St. in Cedarhurst. Police say the investigation revealed that Thomas Mensah, 21, of Beach 87th Street, Queens, and Michael Fayemiwo, 22, of Lanett Avenue, Far Rockaway, were responsible for the thefts.

Police located the two in a white 2018 BMW in the parking lot of Jimmy Jazz, at 253-01 Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and placed them under arrest without incident.
