A significant nor’easter is expected to dump up to a foot of snow in NYC over the weekend. While parts of Long Island can see anywhere from 8 – 12 inches of snow, Eastern Long Island can potentially see up to 18 inches of snow. Accumulation amounts increase in areas East of Long Island & Connecticut. The worst part of the storm is expected to hit New England and parts of NYC.

The blizzard is supposed to gain speed and power once it hits Long Island early Saturday morning. This is expected to be a “quick-moving” storm and will accumulate significantly in a short time frame.

Snow fall is expected to make land fall 2 AM Saturday morning, with wind gusts of up to 45 mph.
