Another day, another savage terrorist attack by radical Islamists who call themselves ISIS, or Hamas, or the Palestinian leadership, or Fatah, or whatever name they want to give themselves. Same garbage.
Here’s the thing though. The world still doesn’t get it. Half of Israel doesn’t even get it, how can we expect the world to?
There is a seriously ironic double standard going on here.
Are these people the world likes to call Palestinians adults or children? Should they be treated as adults?
Presumably the world wants them to be treated as responsible adults, adults who deserve their own state, their own national identity.
So if they are adults, then maybe we should listen to them when they say they want all of Israel and as many dead Jews as possible. Maybe we should read their charter if these are responsible adults.
Maybe we should hold these people to the same standard we hold the rest of the world aka not accepting the fact that they elected a terrorist organization as their government.
Perhaps it’s time we stopped giving these people a pass every time they decide to fire rockets into civilian populations? Maybe it’s enough trying to find any and all justifications for their terror?
Every made up excuse or justification has fallen short. The one I find most amusing is that they embrace terror because they’re so poor and have no other way out.
So let me tell you. The 16 year old terrorist who murdered my brother was living a perfectly normal and even affluent life. Want pictures of the houses where many of these terrorists grew up? Enough already. Look at the hate in his eyes. Really look. That’s what this is about. Jew hatred. Period.
This is not about land. It never was. The terror from the radical Islam is a global problem and it shows no signs of slowing down.
It’s not about land. It’s not about some fake occupation. Reminder, there’s not one Jew in Gaza. How did that work out? Reminder 2: There was no “occupation” in 1929 when Arabs massacred Jews in Hebron. There wasn’t even a state! What was the excuse back then?
Enough. If they are what the world likes to believe they are, a civilized nation that deserves a state, then it’s time we start treating them like that. I don’t need to tell you what any country would do if another country fired tens of thousands of rockets into their cities or carried out terrorist attacks in their bus stations and streets.
So why aren’t we doing that? Decide. Are they adults who need to be treated as such or are they children whose words are meaningless and shouldn’t be taken seriously? If it’s the former then let’s do what we need to do. If it’s the latter, then enough talk about a state. Children who say things they don’t really mean don’t deserve a state.
This is a “Clash of civilizations”. This is radical Islam, no matter what fancy name you want to give it.
The whole “Palestinian refugee” thing is just so ridiculous already. What other refugees remained refugees for this long? But that’s the thing. It’s very convenient to call yourselves refugees. That way you can justify your terror and call it resistance or some other silly name.
So for the third time this week, a savage radical Islamist killed innocent Israelis. Beer Sheva, Hadera, and now Bnei Brak/Ramat Gan.
What has to happen for the world to open their eyes, for Israelis to open their eyes? Does it have to happen in a Tel Aviv cafe? On Rothschild boulevard? Ramat Gan isn’t close enough?
Enough is enough.
I want to flex my muscles and say something about how we’re never leaving Israel and we’ll be here long after these terrorists won’t. Something about all the empires that tried to annihilate us and are no longer here.
But the truth is, it’s devastating. Night after night. Another family begins a lifetime of suffering, of sadness.
It’s true. We will be here after them but I’m not gonna pretend this doesn’t rip my heart out every time. It does.
We don’t even know the outcome of this attack yet. It might even still be ongoing. What we do know is that there are several casualties, now 5 confirmed.
What we do know is that this terrorist carried out the shooting from his motorcycle, which he probably paid for with the money the world wires the Palestinian authority every month.
This is sickening on so many levels and it’s really time we stopped making excuses and start holding these people accountable. It’s time we did what any country would do. It’s time we stopped acting like the weak Jews we once were who would turn the other cheek.
We are no longer those weak Jews and we need to realize that, as hard as it will be for the world to accept.
My heart is broken tonight. Again.
