This past week, the Inwood Mikvah, Mikvah Sara Laya, closed on the adjacent property. This is a significant acquisition as it allows the Mikvah to expand parking and make the parking lot more private and removed from the street. Additional Hiddurim and Chumrahs, including a storage tank for rainwater, will also be made possible with this space.
The Inwood Mikvah serves the entire Five Towns and Far Rockaway Community. It also has a Kailim Mikvah on site.
The purchase of this new property also allows the option to expand the Mikvah building in the future if it becomes necessary in light of future growth of the Five Towns Jewish population.
