Executive Bruce Blakeman: “Nassau is Not a Sanctuary County!”

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman says the migrant crisis is not a community problem but a federal one. When asked if Nassau County would help house migrants, Blakeman said “no”.

“New York City chose their status as a sanctuary city, that was their choice, and they must therefore address their own safety and social service issues” said Blakeman.

“Here in Nassau County, that is not our choice. There are NO plans to house any migrants in Nassau” he continued.

  1. Good for Mr. Blakeman!!! We who live in Nassau county pay very high taxes to live here. No, migrants can stay in the five boroughs or just stop coming into this country illegally already it’s enough!!!
