Holocaust survivor Fred Zeilberger of Cedarhurst joined Nassau County for International Holocaust Remembrance Day as they honored the lives of more than 6 million innocent people murdered by Nazi Germany.

Fred, born in Wurzburg Germany in 1929, was sent to work in over five concentration camps. His mother and sister did not survive. Fred immigrated to the United States in 1947 and served in the US Army during the Korean War. After the war he married his wife Elaine and they have been living and raising their family in Cedarhurst.

We wish him and his family a long love of joy and happiness.
