Another NYC cop was shot last night in Far Rockaway. A young off-duty NYPD cop was shot when two suspects tried to steal his car as he was driving to work in Queens last night.
An off-duty NYPD police officer was shot and wounded during an attempted carjacking as he drove to work in the Arverne section of Queens last night.
The 22-year-old rookie was shot at the intersection of Beach Channel Drive and Beach 62nd Street at around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Two men tapped on his window of his personal vehicle with a gun. The officer got out, and one of the men fired several shots, striking him in the shoulder.
The officer – the sixth shot in the city this year – was hit in the shoulder and was in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital, police said.
This would be outrageous any time, but we’re just hours away from laying one of our finest to rest. This is just unacceptable.
We must do the work to end this epidemic of gun violence and deliver real peace and safety to our streets.

Our thoughts & prayers are w/ the off duty police officer shot by 2 perps in a failed carjacking attempt in Far Rockaway. Our politicians need to "re-imagine" the laws they passed that are the direct cause of the increase in guns & violent crimes affecting our communities. #Vote pic.twitter.com/Q6VGFdLjyU

My thoughts are with the @NYPD100Pct after responding to a call of an off-duty officer shot on Beach 62nd Street just hours after the vigil for PO’s Rivera and Mora was held in front of the precinct in Rockaway. We support you. We appreciate you. Stay strong 💙 pic.twitter.com/dfzOFCIMEP

The criminal will be released with no bail by tomorrow. I don’t feel bad for NY citizens that keep electing imbecile woke lefties to run your city. You deserve all you are getting
